Tourist Attractions for Texas

Nothing like Texas

Texas is the state that I’m about to call home so I have been doing some digging as where to stop off and take the kids. Therefore, if you are like me you might be looking for someplace whether you are just passing through or stopping in for a longer time. Let’s look at some of the places we all might be visiting.

In Amarillo, Texas you might find it corny, but you could be one to enjoy odd and end things that you can stop and take pictures of. Here we have one of those for you. They are the giant legs. Built by a millionaire, the legs catch everyone off guard, but its still fun to go see while you are driving through.

If you want a wild restaurant with people dressed in a nice southern style as well as some place you can get a nice Texan dinner then you need to go on over to the Big Texan Steak Ranch. Started in 1970, you will find that this is a very bright building, but you will love it never the less. Men love the steak and you’ll love the ambiance.

If you are a pack rat you might find this one fits your style even more. You can find this in the backyard of a house that someone actually owns. They have nicknamed this the Cathedral of Junk and it’s located in Austin, Texas. Made to be a man’s club house, you might find it a bit odd. We think it’s just interesting. It’s like an awkward piece of art that no one can quite explain. Though, many come to see it when they are just passing through. Everything you can imagine went into creating this.

This was my personal favorite as I love history. Found in Waxahachie, Texas, you can see where the bad boys were once taken. It is nine stories tall and has a history of throwing the books at those who broke the law. It was created in 1849 with a very interesting look to it. You will be sure to love this. I know I did as I have mapped places I felt I had to visit.

There is plenty to do and much to see. Come on over for some good old southern cooking and some of that down home fun on the farm. You will have tons to see and much to enjoy. So, bring the whole family on over for tons of fun. Stay a day, stay a week. Just have some fun. We know we are planning on it when we go there. So, maybe we’ll see you.
