Tourist Attractions for South Dakota

Enjoying Your Trip to South Dakota

South Dakota can be a pretty cool place to go to. Find out where you can go when you are there. Some of the things you might have never thought of before. Some you might have heard about. We are here to give you a little bit of the South Dakota flavor for all your tourism needs. Hang on tight as we take you to the sites that we enjoyed in South Dakota.

Head on over to Aberdeen, South Dakota and we can show you something that you would love to see. Come bring the kids and watch as they enjoy Storybook Land. It has been around for quite a while, we’re talking generations. This is where you will find characters that you have read about such as Wizard of Oz and more characters that you would love. What person doesn’t like to make believe that they live in a magical world? Now, you can live in that magical world.

Speaking of other things that you would love to walk through when it comes to someone else’s life, there is always the 1880’s Cowboy Town located in Buffalo Ridge, South Dakota. This town was built in the 1960’s but will easily take you back in the day of the old westerners in just the ambiance of it all. You will love this. So, stick them up partner and come on up to this neck of the woods.

Loving Indians are you? Well then, head on up to Chief Crazy Horse Monument. Here in Crazy Horse, South Dakota, they created a memorial to the loved chief in 1948 by a Polishman and not even an Indian. That in itself is sort of interesting. Come see Chief Crazy Horse’s head which is over five hundred feet tall!

Come meet the Flintstones when you get to Custer, South Dakota. That’s right. We did say the Flintstones. Forty years after the airing of the first cartoon and we still laugh at the Stone Age family. The Flintstone village opened its doors in 1966 and has brought a smile to young and old alike. So meet Barney, Fred, Wilma, Pebbles, Bam-Bam and don’t forget Dino. Come see where the fun is with this town!

As you can see there is plenty to do and see in South Dakota. People have long since traveled through these exhibits and have seen the things that we have deemed as worthy to see. They are pretty fun and interesting all at the same. Not much walking, but fun times ahead, then you need to bring yourself on over to the lovely home of South Dakota and see what we are talking about when we talk about fun that has to be had.
