Seeing Tennessee
If summer vacation isn’t over for you yet, then you need to take that last trip of the summer before the kids go back to school. There is much to do and see in Tennessee. Looking for different things to do? Then follow us as we take you to some of our favorite spots. Here we go!
If you remember the movie Walking Tall then you will remember Buford Husser. Come on over to Adamsville, TN and you can see where he lived. People remember him as a martyr. Touring through the house that was turned into a museum you can hear some of the stories about this famous man from someone who knew him personally. The museum is ran by his aunt who has a lot to say about her favorite nephew.
Chattanooga, TN here we come. Come on over to Ruby Falls. You will love the scenic views of the falls. Those who love geology will love this cavern that leads to the falls. Those who have been there before have reported on the different geographical features. However, be prepared because many people love this one and find it very attractive. Therefore some of the tours can get pretty lengthy, but those who have gone through have said it was worth the wait.
If you like heights then we have the site for you also located in Chattanooga; TN. Lookout Mountain has this nice railway that will take you all the way to the top. If you want to brave the tilt until you get to the incline you can stop off at the Civil War battlefield. I would try this as I love history. From this view, you can see six states. It is pretty crazy.
In Crossville, TN there is yet another site that you might enjoy. It is called the minister’s Tree House. The person who built the house is much alive. It’s a site to see all right. This tree house was actually a chapel. If you go, you might get to talk to old Horace and hear some of the good old stories. Age has really crept up with it, but it’s a great place to go and see with a great history.
As you can see there is much to do. Some of them are full of nature. Others are things you might find odd. They are all things that people can find interesting nevertheless. You might find something else along the way to do as well. So, if you are looking for some fun here are a few suggestions, but then look for other odd and end things. Many talk to those running these tours to get ideas of other places they can go.
