Eliminating Acne as a Young Adult

I never thought at the good age of 26 I would still be getting acne. At this point, I just assume that it will keep coming back because it must be in my blood. My mother still gets acne. The worst areas for me to get acne is along my jawline and under my jawline or chin area. The acne is a combination of large pimples to smaller zits. I do wash my face, but it seems that the soaps that I use must be breaking my skin out. What do I do with this skin problem? It definitely is not a pretty site for anyone to see, but it must be taken care of.

After purchasing a sonicare spinbrush for my face and trying out the soaps that came with it, I was hoping for more beautiful skin. WRONG! It has only gotten worse. I would use the different soaps designed for the different types of skin, trying to keep my skin balanced. It is bad to use a different soap everyday, but these soaps were of better quality, so I thought it would be beneficial. WRONG AGAIN! So now I have this face that has blown up with acne, making me feel embarrassed and dirty. Afterall, who can stand acne? Especially when it is scarring your face.

There is a solution that I have tried. It is a cheap solution, and one that most people would not have heard of. It is likely that you already have these products sitting around your home. You guessed it, an all natural home remedy for treating acne. Yes, it will treat your acne better than any soap out there. Remember that soaps over the counter have more than enough products in them, and most companies blend soaps with products that actually are designed to make your face break out. It becomes a cycle so that you will still buy their product. Sounds ridiculous? Yes, it is! If they treated your acne forever than you would never buy their product again.

So what is this natural home remedy that I am talking about? Using food products on your face. These food products work wonders and help to develop your skin into the pretty face you have been waiting for. The remedy consists of one fruit and one vegetable, and there are a combination of other ingredients that you could always add for extra skin comfort. An orange and a cucumber. These are the foods that I have found and still currently use on my face daily.

It is the combination of both the cucumber and orange that have brought me results like I have never seen. No over the counter products have ever worked like these two foods. The process includes cutting off one slice of orange and one or two slices of cucumber, then applying them to your face. First, rub the orange over your entire face, making sure that you have either pulled your hair back in a ponytail or just use your hands to keep it out of the way. Be sure to rub it on your neck and under the chin also, as this is where my acne problem is, so I focus on this area the most. The orange will eventually break apart, with little pulp pieces coming off on your face. This is okay because it will not hurt you. Then you will let the orange juice sit on your face for about ten minutes. Rinse it off, making sure that you got any parts of the orange that might be lingering around your hairline. Next, apply the cucumber to your face the same way you applied the orange. Except you can leave the cucumber on for the rest of the day. Just make sure that no parts of the cucumber have not broken off and stayed on your face.

Using the orange will help to dry up the acne from the citric acid. It also adds Vitamin C to your skin, leaving it with a healthy glow. The cucumber cools your face and gives you a refreshing feeling. It is natural for the cucumber to pull redness and swelling out of your skin. This is why you see so many women putting them on their eyes when they have a facial mask on. The cucumber will leave your skin feeling softer than ever, making use of a facial lotion unnecessary. Apply these steps to your face twice daily for the greatest benefit.

Healthy skin starts with healthy starts. Who knew a simple fruit and vegetable could make your day!

  1. I can totally relate with this post! It sucks to have acne as an adult, at any age for that matter. I have some recent personal results that I think could help a lot of people struggling with acne. Let's talk sometime, I'd love to share this with you. Have a blessed day!
